“In astrophysics, an event horizon is most commonly associated with the limits around the gravitational force of a black hole, where its magnitude is so strong that not even light; the fastest entity in our universe can escape. This singularity is often known as The Event Horizon, the point of no return…”

The Event Horizon Collection consists of luxurious wooden chalices from both reclaimed and recycled materials. The collection focuses on showcasing the beauty of damaged, decayed and otherwise typically considered unusable wood. The pieces get their inspiration from chalices and offering vases as the ultimate for worshipping and adoration to the earth.

The Offering Chalice
£600.00

The Critical Mass Collection is inspired by the massive density of a Black Hole; The chalices are designed with reclaimed birch wood from England, the process makes the material transform to create beautiful mathematical singularities that deceive the observer in space and shape. Its inconspicuous density its a reminder of the incredible amount of waste we generate. By compressing singular layers of material together to create dense matter, the material is then exposed through a centrifugal process of high speed and force.

The aesthetics of the vase are best represented by the rules of Japanese composition, “Ichirin Zashi”, the art of placing a single stem of dry nature on a vase. A hole of about 1-2cm diameter travel across the centre of the piece to be able to place a branch or two as adornment if desired.

All the process to make these pieces is by hand.

Tears in Rain
£50.00

Like Tears in Rain is a Vase Collection inspired by the "C-Beam Speech" and focuses on recycling and reclaiming every little bit of wood waste. The collection will consist of different collections of Sculptural Vases called "Tears”. The Vases are designed to hold one or two stems of dried nature or live flowers.

Each of these sculptures will beautifully represent the hopelessness of recycling and reclaiming different materials against the massive product pollution battle we face today. The collection is spearheaded to explore the hidden beauty of different kinds of waste and to show there is no excuse to salvage and repurpose waste and thrown away materials.

Different collections will aim to use a different kind of waste in a wonderful, poetic way. The exploration of different elements, processes and techniques will evolve until it completely revolutionises how we perceive and handle waste.

The Garden of Eden is the collection of living sculptures. It takes inspiration from the chalice, the purest form of adoration combined with a science fiction representationof supernatural biological sculptures suspended in the air.

Bonsai Care Guide

The living ecosystem contains a living bonsai resting in a moss sphere garden that will take care of each other by collecting humidity and nutrients and also purifying the air by absorbing the CO2 around the room.

The project aims to take two entirely different processes and fuse them in perfect balance: The fast and violent process of woodturning frozen in time and space and theever-growing tranquillity of plants.

Working closely with the award-winning supplier Saunders Seasoning Timber, Memories of Greenworked with reused & reclaimed wood from trees that came down due to disease and would typically be discarded, selecting this wood for its particular imperfect patterns.
